Felted Kaleidocycle Workshop

In this class we will combine the Japanese art of origami with wet felting techniques. Learn how to lay out and shape the wool so it retains beautiful angular shapes once felted. We will then use some hand stitching to create the ring shape that brings your kaleidocycle to life.

Not keen on hand-stitching? I’ll let you in on a little secret… neither am I! 🙂 The stitching needed to make a kaleidocycle is very simple and I will show you how to make the stitches invisible so you don’t need to be neat or precise!

This class is for adults and suitable for intermediate feltmakers and confident beginners (you should be able to lay out wool fibres evenly.
